Bridget backs the One Hour Bus Ticket campaign

busticketislington2London Assembly member Caroline Pidgeon joined Bridget to talk to local residents about the campaign, and to ask them to sign a petition to the Mayor.

The new ticket the Lib Dems are calling for would allow bus passengers to pay one fare and change buses as many times as they need to within an hour – like passengers on the Tube already can.

Tickets like this operate successfully in Paris, Rome and Brussels. A one-hour ticket in London would give bus users a fair deal, make bus travel more attractive to many people who don’t often use buses now, and help to reduce congestion by giving an easy alternative to short journeys by car.
