Bridget welcomes chance for change for Angel crossing

Liberal Democrat campaigner Bridget Fox is urging Islington residents to have their say on the dangerous Angel crossing.
The crossing, between Angel tube and Liverpool Road, is used by thousands of pedestrians every day.

In 2004 Bridget Fox launched a campaign to get the crossing redesigned; thousands of people signed her petition, and she got the backing of Islington Council. But as Transport for London (TfL) are responsible for the crossing, it needs action from the Mayor.

Bridget says, “Everyone who knows the Angel, knows this crossing is a nightmare.
“We now have the chance to get a better crossing. Please look out for the consultation forms and have your say.”

Bridget’s petition is online at and there is also a Facebook group supporting the campaign.

Bar chart: it's Lib Dem or Labour here

The Conservatives, Greens and UKIP can't win in Islington South. Voting for them will just help Labour to win again. Only the Lib Dems can beat Labour in our area.
