img07_thumbBridget chaired a Pitta and Politics event on counter-terrorism, held with the Dialogue Society in Islington this month.

Speakers included Meral Ece, Jonathan Fryer, and Dialogue’s director Ozcan Keles, with a video contribution from Simon Hughes MP.

Bridget says “We were enthused by how much of an agenda liberal Muslims and Liberal Democrats have in common, from defending free speech to encouraging democratic engagement – and challenging the stereotype that we’re both full of men with beards.”

In Islington South & Finsbury

Bar chart: it's Lib Dem or Labour here

The Conservatives, Greens and UKIP can't win in Islington South. Voting for them will just help Labour to win again. Only the Lib Dems can beat Labour in our area.
